ENGINE
The Daytona Sports Cars Coupe is powered by a General Motors V8, with the option of LS1 Alloy 5.7, LS2 Alloy 6, and LS7 Alloy 7Litre engines, The LS7 being the Premium specification option, with Dry Sump, Titanium Connecting Rods, and Sodium cooled valves as standard. All engines are fitted with Drive by Wire. For a road registered car, a G.M.H. Engine Management System is standard, while a competition car is fitted with a MoTeC M800 ECU. Competition cars also have the option of Dry Sump, A.T.I. Harmonic Balancer, Modified Camshafts, C.N.C. Cylinder Heads, and a Daytona Sports Cars Multiple butterfly inlet manifold. Road cars are fitted with Daytona Sports Cars Exhaust headers, and noise test approved, rear exiting exhaust pipes, while Competition cars can run side exiting pipes. Cars that do not option a Dry Sump system, can be fitted with an optional Air Conditioner.
