CHASSIS

The Daytona Sports Cars Coupe chassis, is a Nickel Bronze and T.I.G. welded, mild steel Spaceframe. The design geometry was developed by Ross Holder (Deep Thought Engineering) who has worked extensively in high-end motorsport, including time as chief engineer of Gibson Motorsport. Chassis design contributions also came from Michael Borland (Borland Racing Developments) acclaimed Spectrum Formula Ford designer and builder.

The chassis incorporates an integral steel Roll Cage to C.A.M.S./F.I.A. certification, with bolt-in outer roof members ,and rear diagonals, which can be removed on during ‘road’ use for a greater boot space. The doors incorporate steel intrusion bars to A.D.R. requirements. Both Driver and Passenger ‘Cells’ have welded steel floors. All Daytona Sports Cars Chassis are fabricated by Borland Racing.
