CHASSIS The chassis incorporates an integral steel Roll Cage to C.A.M.S./F.I.A. certification, with bolt-in outer roof members ,and rear diagonals, which can be removed on during ‘road’ use for a greater boot space. The doors incorporate steel intrusion bars to A.D.R. requirements. Both Driver and Passenger ‘Cells’ have welded steel floors. All Daytona Sports Cars Chassis are fabricated by Borland Racing. |

Suspension design was developed by Daytona Sports Cars, Deep Thought and Borland Racing, and utilizes Holden Front Uprights, and Daytona designed cast, heat treated and machined Aluminium Rear Uprights. Wishbones are unequal length fabricated mild steel, provided by Borland Racing. Koni double adjustable coil over shock absorbers are used front and rear. Drive Axles are Holden, as are the Drive Shafts, C.V. joints and bearings. Rack and Pinion steering units are also Holden items. Competition cars can also be fitted with an adjustable front sway bar. |

The Daytona Sports Cars Coupe is powered by a General Motors V8, with the option of LS1 Alloy 5.7, LS2 Alloy 6, and LS7 Alloy 7Litre engines, The LS7 being the Premium specification option, with Dry Sump, Titanium Connecting Rods, and Sodium cooled valves as standard. All engines are fitted with Drive by Wire. For a road registered car, a G.M.H. Engine Management System is standard, while a competition car is fitted with a MoTeC M800 ECU. Competition cars also have the option of Dry Sump, A.T.I. Harmonic Balancer, Modified Camshafts, C.N.C. Cylinder Heads, and a Daytona Sports Cars Multiple butterfly inlet manifold. Road cars are fitted with Daytona Sports Cars Exhaust headers, and noise test approved, rear exiting exhaust pipes, while Competition cars can run side exiting pipes. Cars that do not option a Dry Sump system, can be fitted with an optional Air Conditioner. |

All cars are fitted with a Tremec TKO 600 Close ratio 5 speed syncromesh gearbox as standard, or with Daytona Sports Cars very close ratio Dog Box as an option. Competition cars also have the option of a Holinger 6 speed sequential Dog Box. |

All cars are fitted with a Daytona Sports Cars developed Differential, comprising an aluminium centre using a G.M. Chevrolet 12 bolt ring and piston, 3.08, 3.42, 3.75, 3.9:1 ratios, and a heavy duty Salisbury L.S.D. Competition cars have the option of a differential cooler and oil pump. |

In Standard trim, the Daytona Sports Cars Coupe is fitted with Harrop 330m.m. Rotors, and 4 Pot Harrop callipers up front, and Harrop 305m.m. Rotors and 4 Pot Harrop callipers on the rear. Competition cars can be fitted with 340m.m. Rotors and 6 Pot callipers up front, and 320m.m. Rotors and 4 Pot callipers on the rear, with the option of Harrop, A.P. or Brembo systems. All cars are fitted with A.B.S. as standard. |

For Standard cars, the main body, bonnet, doors and sills are constructed of the highest quality, hand layed Glass Fibre, produced in-house for assured A-class, light weight construction. LS7 engine optioned cars come with Vacuum infused Carbon Fibre panels as standard. All cars are fitted with Carbon Fibre front inner mud guards, Carbon Fibre Diff and Fuel Tank covers, Carbon Fibre Side Scoops, and Carbon Fibre Air-box. Car’s fitted with Air Conditioning feature a Carbon Fibre Plenum. All Daytona Sports Cars moulds and Glass Fibre/Carbon parts are produced in-house. |

The Daytona Sports Cars Coupe is trimmed with high quality carpet on the floors, footwells and sills, a roof headlining and Velo race seats as standard. The Dashboard is padded to A.D.R. requirements, and is covered with vacuum formed black vinyl. Instrumentation can be one of three configurations. All dashboard configurations include twin Fresh Air Eyeballs, a 12V Power Source plug, Warning Lights for Handbrake, High Beam, Seatbelt, Battery Voltage, and Oil Pressure, as well as dash mounted Aircraft quality Circuit Brakers for Guages, Headlights Low and High, Fuel Pump, Thermo Fans 1 and 2, and E.C.U. Dashboards with either Single or Dual MoTeC Displays also include Circuit Brakers for Intercom, Lift Pump, Gearbox Pump, 2nd Fuel Pump, Diff Pump, MoTeC Dash and Windscreen Wipers, as well as a computer download port for trackside telemetry and tuning. A Suede Sparco Steering wheel is standard. A Deluxe interior can be provided to customer specification, including Nardi Torino Woodgrain Steering wheel, Leather trimmed Seats, and Hand Trimmed Dashboard. |

In standard specification, all cars are fitted with Simmons 18X10 Wheels front and rear. Competition cars have the option of Simmons 18X12 Wheels on the rear. 18X10 Daytona Sports Cars ‘Halibrand’ style Knock-Off Wheels with Spinner Caps are also available, allowing for a retro style wheel, able to house modern ‘race size’ brakes. |
