Unlike many of its rivals, the Daytona Sports Cars Coupe was designed as a race car that could be driven on the road, not a road car converted to a racer. All Daytona Sports Cars Coupe’s are individually constructed vehicles with detail specifications relative to the intended use. If the intended use is as a road registered, rather than a road racing or Targa type tarmac rally competition car, and for use in Australia, the vehicle must comply to the requirements of the A.D.R. ( Australian Design Rules ) and additionally to the requirements as an I.C.V. ( Independently Constructed Vehicle ). To this end Daytona Sports Cars P/L will sell the individual Coupe components in kit form only on the proviso that the owner assembles the vehicle in our premises and under our supervision and the vehicle is subject to periodical inspection by a VASS certified engineer. This requirement is to ensure both the mechanical integrity, A.D.R compliance and appropriate safety standards. The cars comply to all current applicable A.D.R, C.A.M.S and F.I.A. certifications, and can be used to compete in most Marque Sports Racing events, Hillclimbs and Tarmac Rally events. The Daytona Sports Cars Coupe's combine expert fabricated chassis and suspension components, with current emission compliant General Motors Holden engines, in-house designed and developed rear uprights and differential, race quality brakes, laser cut aluminium and stainless steel panels, and highest quality glass and carbon fibre composite panels. With an options list including; Air conditioning, 'Race size' Harrop brakes, Holinger sequential gearbox, analogue or digital instrumentation, modern or period style wheels, the customer has the choice of a classic weekend cruiser or out-and-out race car, with a pedigree to compete against Europe's finest, |
